We are excited to announce that as of today, Brandlive is an official partner of Twitter’s new Periscope Producer livestreaming API program. This move by Twitter is certain to make live video even more attractive to the world’s most well-known brands, as it allows companies to more easily livestream to Twitter.
At Brandlive, we’re focused on making it as easy as possible for brands and retailers to broadcast live video events across multiple channels (both owned and earned), in order to engage their audiences with inspiring and interactive productions. With Twitter simplifying the technical requirements for our customers to simulcast a Brandlive event to Twitter and Periscope, it will be easier to include their Twitter audiences in future live video events.
With this API, Brandlive customers will be able to easily connect with their Periscope accounts, authenticate and go live from a high end encoder. The integration builds on top of Brandlive’s current connection with the Twitter commenting API, in which Brandlive viewers and moderators are able to comment via Twitter as well as Brandlive. Brandlive also has a #hashtag listener for drawing in comments to Brandlive events and our metrics console.
